This
series of Light Identification Patch Panel,
in which LED's are embedded above each port, allows you to
identify ports and troubleshoot your network.
This particular
technology includes a Patch Panel with dual color LED above
each port, and by injecting a signal with a handheld
transmitter at the wall plate end, port paths are
immediately identified, and cabling faults exposed.
Guesswork caused by hard-to hear tones is a thing of the
past. Tracing ports, finding faults, especially with two
people, makes port identification lightning fast.

To troubleshoot a port:
1 -
Go to the wall plate
2 -
Plug in the signal transmitter
with a patch cable
3 -
Select either continuous or
blink mode
4 -
Go back to the Patch Panel and
find your port which will now be
illuminated
With
two people, identifying ports becomes a snap. Once the Signal
Transmitter is connected, the Patch Panel LED is dual color. A
RED light on indicates the port is connected to a network device.
A GREEN light indicates the port is not connected to any network
device. No light at all indicates an open circuit between wall
plate and Patch Panel.
